The 20th Fighter Wing is Now More Prepared for HAZMAT Incident Response

Home of the 20th Fighter Wing and one of the largest military bases in the United States, the Shaw Air Force Base Fire Department near Sumter, South Carolina received their new HAZMAT-32. This 32-foot trailer will provide the Hazardous Materials Response Team with storage for all of their necessary incident response equipment. The base purchased this unit to replace an older supply model.

Interior equipment includes a twelve (12) cylinder SCBA storage rack, overhead cabinets, two (2) rolling supply carts, chest freezer, tool chest, and ample space for additional items.

New Mobile Expeditionary Trailer for the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base

Loaded with electronics and special features, this Mobile Expeditionary Trailer was successfully delivered to the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in North Carolina.

The Seymour Johnson Air Force Base is a major air combat command base and serves as home to the 4th Fighter Wing.

Trailer exterior includes a 20’ mast, an LED TV protected by a roll up door, and an exterior access door to the interior equipment rack.

Five (5) workstations, with one located in a 4-foot electric slideout, line the interior of the trailer. Each workstation includes seating and wall-mounted LED TVs.

The West Virginia Army National Guard Increases Mission Support

The West Virginia Army National Guard (WVARNG), which has 38 units and activities in 22 counties throughout West Virginia and overseas, recently selected Mobile Concepts to design and manufacture a Mobile Command Center to help fit their mission. The Command-36-FW6WS model provides the WVARNG with a mobile communications solution that can be easily dispatched in a number of emergencies.

This 36-foot fifth wheel trailer has a total of six (6) workstations along with task chairs, antenna prewire at each station, telescopic scene lights, exterior PTZ night vision camera mounted on a pole, and a dish satellite system with two (2) receivers among many other features that will help aid the WVARNG in on-site emergency communications.

Mobile Concepts Welcomes New Team Member

Mobile Concepts welcomes Tim Skundrich, our new Assistant Director of Operations, to the team. With a degree in electrical engineering from Pennsylvania State University, Skundrich previously worked at Lockheed Martin, one of the largest military contractors in the world, where he helped engineer hardware and software used for testing aircraft radar components.

Skundrich brings a keen eye for quality control and is excited to help Mobile Concepts develop new and innovative product lines. He enjoys the business atmosphere and getting the opportunity to work one-on-one with production.


VA Health Care System is Prepared for New Threats

With new and increasing chemical and biological threats, the need for on-scene mass casualty decontamination solutions continue to grow. The Amarillo Veterans Affairs Health Care System in Texas is now more equipped to fight these dangers with their new MOBDECON 34-6L provided by Mobile Concepts Specialty Vehicles.

Amarillo now joins the ranks of other Veteran Affairs Medical Centers with a decon trailer including the James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital in Tampa, Central Alabama Veterans Healthcare System in Tuskegee, and the Cheyenne VA Medical Center in Wyoming.

This 34-foot, easily deployable mobile decontamination trailer features:

  • Five (5) three stall decon chambers
  • One (1) non-ambulatory roller system
  • Isolated mechanical room
