The Mobile Transportation Management Center for the Delaware Department of Transportation operates as an on-scene Emergency Operations Center to support the responsibilities of the department.
Responsibilities of the department include maintaining 89 percent of the state’s public roadways, overseeing the Adopt-A-Highway program, snow removal, the Department of Motor Vehicles and the Delaware Transit Corporation (Dart First State).
This Mobile Traffic Management Center can temporarily assume some of the same capabilities of DelDOT’s 24/7 Traffic Management Center at the State Emergency Operations Center building. At that location, they monitor traffic conditions, operate traffic lights and broadcast on AM radio.
