Mobile Concepts designed and manufactured 5 35-foot-length mobile commands for the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA).
An Onan diesel 8kw generator assisted in providing 24-hr power during the G-20 Summit held in Pittsburgh, PA. Antenna brackets are installed and prewired at the roof line for customers’ antennas.
Allegheny County’s Emergency Services Department utilized the command to provide 24-hour system hardware and network support for approximately 3,000 end users.
The 4 workstations in this command unit were effectively put to use during the 2009 G-20 summit. Ample countertop space allowed for easy use of all necessary equipment of the Allegheny County Emergency Services Department’s State Technical Support Group.
This Mobile Command Center for the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) responds to natural or man-made disasters, as well as incidents across the state, which require a high level of security or interoperability.
For example, PEMA loaned this mobile support command to the Allegheny County Emergency Services Department to be utilized by its State Technical Support Group during the 2009 G-20 Summit held in Pittsburgh.
Technicians working out of the command center provided 24-hour system hardware and network support for approximately 3,000 end users on the STARNet radio system.
