This 28-foot Mobile Emergency Operations Center (MEOC) trailer was supplied to Mobile Concepts by Grissom Air Force Base in Indiana for an upfitting to meet FEMA Type 3 classification. The fiberglass-sided vehicle has a 20-foot electric mast with a PTZ night vision camera mounted on it. There is also a satellite internet dish system, awning, two entry doors and rear-ramp door.
The rear has a drop-down ramp to the back compartment of the vehicle. It also features scissor-style stabilizing jacks and DOT-approved LED lighting. There are eight LED emergency lights located around the trailer and multiple antenna mounts for communication purposes.
The inside features four workstations, which have room for a joystick or keyboard, radio/communications, telephones and computers. There are 110-volt and 12-volt outlets, CAT6 hookups and VOIP phones at each location.
Overhead storage cabinets, with dry erase fronts, run throughout the interior of this MEOC and above each work station. The vehicle also boasts six full-height closets, with dry erase fronts, and composite walls.
This electronics rack has a satellite modem, ethernet router and switch, VoIP system, four shelves, two surge protectors and a top-mounted fan for cooling. E-track is located on the floors, as well as the walls, to secure cargo.
Grissom Air Force Base in Indiana had Mobile Concepts upfit their Mobile Emergency Operations Center (MEOC) to qualify as a FEMA Type 3 MEOC.
An empty trailer was provided by the base for this work. By integrating communication components, satellite and Telular internet, this vehicle became compliant with the requirements of the federal government’s guidelines for a FEMA Type 3 classification.
