This 35 foot length fire safety house trailer is designed with 3 rooms that the students tour: front kitchen; living room; and rear bedroom. The realistic kitchen is designed for the front wall of the trailer and is the 1st room that the students enter.
The living room has built-in bench seats for students, a multimedia cabinet and “smoking” fireplace.
The optional LED TV is part of our our severe weather training program, WeatherSMART.
The bedroom is a great location to reinforce the “always know 2 ways out” message.
These are just 2 of the many SCOTTY Fire Safety Houses we’ve manufactured for fire departments and emergency agencies across North America and our mobile classrooms can also be found in Japan, Italy, Germany, Spain, Puerto Rico, Guam and several other countries around the globe.
Franklin Square Fire Company shared this photo with us of their SCOTTY Fire Safety House being used at one of their community’s safety fairs. Guests were able to tour the trailer, receive life-saving tips and messages as well as walk away with printed materials to use at home.
Like the 3100 model, students tour 3 rooms: a full-size living room, a front kitchen and a rear bedroom. The 4 extra feet of length allows more people to fit in the living room and kitchen spaces. All rooms meet the ADA requirements for clearance, walkthrough and t-turn space. An exit door and sliding escape window are located in the bedroom.
