Command 53-10WS

The Command 53-10WS was up-fitted by Mobile Concepts to serve as a Mobile Processing Center (MPC) for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

The CBP delivered two 53-foot tractor trailers to our factory near Pittsburgh, Pa., for this project. This equipment was confiscated by the CBP at U.S. border crossings.

Also included in the contract were tech updates, which were performed to the CBP’s original MPC, which was upfitted by a competitor.

These command features 10 workstations, detainee seating, holding cell, command/control area, galley and storage.

Numerous surveillance and other electronic equipment was installed, including access to the DHS/CPB network with access to e3 Processing, IAFIS, email, internet and other law enforcement systems.

The MPC provides the agency the ability to monitor and process vehicular and pedestrian traffic at all United States borders and ports of entry. It can also be deployed as a relief vehicle to areas of the country that have been affected by natural disasters.

The government furnished equipment (GFE) included the tractors and trailers, plus all surveillance electronic monitoring and proprietary equipment.
