Command 3WS Double Feature: Patuxent River & Waynesville

Last Wednesday, we sent out two Command-3WS sprinter vans. The first pictured unit was made for the Naval Air Warfare Center in Patuxent River, MD. It will act as a mobile command center and Portable Integrated GPS (PIG) for the Atlantic Test Ranges GPS team. The PIG will enable them to monitor test events with an integrated GPS-based tracking system in real-time from remote locations. As for the second pictured unit, it was made for the Haywood County EMS in Waynesville, NC. They plan to use it as a mobile command center during large-scale medical emergencies. Both sprinter vans feature three workstations, mounted swivel chairs with seatbelts, one passenger seat folding laptop desk, an electronics rack, wiring for eight rooftop antennas, and a siren/PA system.
Other features include:
- Six exterior parameter scene lights and six (6) emergency lights
- One 13×9″ electric awning
- A roof ladder located on the driver’s side
- Wiring for 8 antennas w/rain caps
- A tension rod w/curtain
- Two 110v USB duplex outlets and two (2) Cat6 outlets per workstation
- A refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker
- Custom graphics
