The Command 39-5WS SO Mobile Communications Center is ready to provide seamless and uninterrupted flow of information for day-to-day operations as well as major disasters to minimize the loss of life, injury and property. Technical service personnel and communication specialists together with their commanders work with other agencies like dispatch centers, base and local police departments, base and local fire departments, the Emergency Management Office, and numerous local, regional, and state agencies as well as the news media to mitigate major emergency incidents and other newsworthy events. They are also tasked with maintaining operational readiness so that they are ready to provide communication support at a moment’s notice.
