Description

About this unit

The Full Mission Bridge Trainer (FMBT) was a collaborative effort between the U.S. Navy, Mobile Concepts, Northrop Grumman, and SwiftShips. Each partner played a critical role in developing a state-of-the-art mobile training facility, replicating the bridge of a Navy vessel for simulated navigation and operational exercises.

To create this mobile classroom, the U.S. Navy provided two empty shipping containers, which were repurposed into a fully integrated training space. A key aspect of the design involved fabricating a custom system that allowed the containers to seamlessly conjoin into one large classroom upon arrival at the training site. This highly specialized, specification-driven project was completed within a strict deadline, ensuring mission readiness and operational efficiency.
