Description
About this unit
The Small Arms Trainer (SAT) was a collaborative effort between the U.S. Navy, Mobile Concepts, Northrop Grumman, and SwiftShips to transform an ISO shipping container into a fully functional mobile classroom and simulator. Designed to train soldiers in small arms handling, the unit was built to withstand rigorous operational use while maintaining a controlled training environment.
Our scope of work included structural reinforcement, insulation, wiring, ventilation, and finishing to accommodate essential features such as heating, air conditioning, flooring, walls, and a secured entrance. Once completed, the modified container was equipped with a simulator featuring real-life props, making it an effective hands-on training facility. It now operates alongside the Full Mission Bridge Trainer, further enhancing training capabilities.
