Last Thursday, Lenoir County Emergency Services in Kinston, NC received their Command 35-5WS SO. In fact they were so excited upon its delivery, they beat me, the marketing specialist, to the punch on making a post for it! All jokes aside, their new Emergency Operations Center was customized to help further improve awareness, scene stability, and coordination between agencies when responding to an incident. For that purpose, it has been equipped with five workstations, one restroom, one 120″ wide slide-out, an electronics rack with a 48 Port patch panel, one Furrion wireless observation system with one 7″ monitor and 3 cameras, a conference room with a 43″ Smart Board i3 Technology TV & removable table, one 50″ TV, one HD omnidirectional antenna, one Panorama antenna, and a floatograph mast with an AVUE camera.

Other features include:

  • Kitchenette w/microwave, refrigerator, and Keurig
  • Four attachable aluminum pushup poles
  • A Cradlepoint wifi router & antenna
  • Eight Whelen M4 split red & blue emergency lights
  • A six Sangoma phone system
  • Two 24×36″ white boards
  • One 8×21″ electric awning and a 10′ Awning topper
  • Two smoke/CO alarms
