Last week, the Modesto Fire Department in Stanislaus County, CA, received their new FG-35 Bleacher. Not only will they be using it to teach their community about fire safety and fire preparedness, but they will also inform them about the importance of extreme weather preparedness. Their unit features interactive kitchen and bedroom stages, 5-row bleacher seating, a safety-stove, a heated door module, and a burning trashcan module. Additionally, they purchased the complete Weather Smart package that features an entertainment center with a 32″ flat panel TV with a DVD player, a five-speaker surround sound system with a sub-woofer, instructional tornado and hurricane DVDs, one weather radio, shaking blinds and strobe lights, black out shades, and earthquake-simulating vibration mechanisms installed in the bedroom stage’s bed and bench.
