This Command 36-6WS FW SO was built by Mobile Concepts to function as an Incident Command Post (ICP) for Edwards Air Force Base in California. This mobile command center serves as the base’s Installation Emergency Operations Control Center, supporting the work of Emergency Management (EM) specialists who are tasked with preparing for, responding to, and recovering from both natural and man-made disasters. The ICP plays a crucial role in preparing Edwards AFB and the surrounding communities for emergencies common to the area, such as earthquakes, high winds, dust storms, and wildfires. Beyond preparedness, the ICP is also deployed during response and recovery missions, providing a centralized location for establishing command and communications during critical incidents.
